This almost two-minute video is allegedly from Takhar province. Earlier on November 23, the Taliban publicly flogged some women. These women were accused of moral degradation.
Earlier on November 24, the Taliban beat 12 people accused of moral offenses in front of a crowd of thousands at a football stadium. Three women were also included in these 12 persons. According to a Taliban official, these men were accused of theft, homosexuality. This was the second time in the month of November that the Taliban executed people in a public place for some crime.
The Taliban took over the government last year. US and NATO troops had already left Afghanistan. During this time, many times human rights activists have appealed to the United Nations to protect women’s rights.
In this way, after the order of the supreme leader of the Taliban, Haibatullah Akhundzada, the series of punishments has started in public places. All these punishments are being given according to Sharia law. A similar case was also reported from Afghanistan’s Takhar province last week. 19 people have been punished in this. A woman was beaten up for listening to music in Nuristan province.
