    Sources in the Ministry of Petroleum said that a summary of up to 200 percent increase in gas prices has been prepared, in which monthly charges have been proposed for safe gas consumers.
    According to sources, fixed charges have been proposed to be increased from Rs 10 to Rs 400, while the price of gas for domestic consumers has been increased by 172%. Apart from this, it has been proposed to increase the price of gas up to 198.33% for other consumers.

    Sources say that it has also been proposed to implement the increase in gas prices from October 1.
    The summary of gas price hike will be presented in ECC, after the approval of the Economic Coordination Committee, the caretaker cabinet gave final approval to the summary.
