    Canada Global(Web News) Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid has announced his detachment from the events of May 9 and said that I was not here from May 8 to May 16.

    Pakistan slaps travel ban on ex-PM Imran Khan

    Canada Global (Web News) In the midst of a standoff with the country’s powerful military, the Pakistani government has banned the former prime minister Imran Khan, his wife, and hundreds of political associates from travelling overseas, sources said.

    Khan’s name was added to the no-fly list by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), which is in charge of immigration and border security, at least two officials confirmed to the dpa news agency on Friday.

    More than 500 leaders and members of Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party have also been added to the list, according to officials, as well as Bushra Bibi.

    “In every instance, it is the accepted procedure. Everyone who is involved in legal proceedings is prohibited from leaving the country, an official told dpa.

    The government was “thanked” by Khan on Friday for adding him to the no-fly list.

    He tweeted: “I have no plans to travel abroad, because I neither have any properties or businesses abroad, nor even a bank account outside of the country,” in an apparent jab at ruling-alliance politicians in Pakistan who are said to have assets abroad.”

    Canada Global (Web News) On Saturday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir announced his intention to prosecute all those responsible for the damage on the Black Day of May 9th.

    The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the army chief made his statement while on a visit to the Corps Headquarters in Peshawar.

    According to the ISPR, the army commander declared that the armed forces will not put up with any more attempts to violate the sanctity and security of their facilities or engage in vandalism.

    A thorough briefing on the current state of security and ongoing counterterrorism initiatives was provided to COAS. He was grateful for the professionalism, effectiveness, and accomplishments of law enforcement organisations in the ongoing war against terrorism.
