Morgan Wallen cancels Ole Miss show after losing his voice

Canada Global (Web News) When singer Morgan Wallen abruptly postponed his performance on Sunday night at Vaught Hemingway Stadium, thousands of fans of country music were waiting.

According to WTVA-TV, video boards inside the Ole Miss football stadium displayed a message stating that the “Thought You Should Know” singer had lost his voice and would not be able to perform, and that ticket buyers would receive a refund.

Because the cancellation was announced after the opening acts, some individuals on social media vented their rage.

Despite being one of the biggest names in country music, Wallen is no stranger to controversy. He was seen on camera cursing and using a racial epithet in 2021 in front of a house in Nashville, Tennessee. He offered an apology at the time, but his label put him on indefinite leave, and streaming platforms and radio stations removed his music.

The previous year, after being expelled from a tavern in downtown Nashville, Wallen was detained for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

One of the hottest stars in country music was scheduled to play two nights in a row until the unexpected cancellation. With thousands of people attending the first concert in the stadium’s history on Saturday night, the event seemed to be a big success.
