Lt. Gen. Kyrillo Budanov urged the government to allow Ukraine to keep inactive CRV7 rockets.
Lt. Gen. Budanov, head of Ukraine’s defense ministry’s intelligence directorate, said doing so would help Ukraine deter Russian forces.
“We hope it will be a win-win situation,” he said, adding that more than 83,000 CRV7 land attack rockets are stored at the Canadian Forces Ammunition Depot in Dundurn, south of Saskatoon.

Lt. Gen. Budanov said the CRV7 will be used in both Ukrainian attack helicopters and ground launchers to target Russian tanks and artillery.
He said that Ukraine is discussing the matter with Canada but is still waiting for a decision.
