Snow Warning Issued For Areas West Of Calgary And Banff

 Canada Global(Web News)A snow warning has been issued for areas west of Calgary where snowfall is expected by the end of the week.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says heavy snowfall is expected in parts of the Rockies and Foothills on Saturday, covering areas including Banff and Kananaskis.

The Met Office says temperatures could reach 20cm. The warning says snowfall will start on Saturday morning and continue until the afternoon.
Snow can accumulate rapidly, with heavy snowfall expected on Saturday afternoon and evening, especially in higher elevations.
The ECCC has warned that snow could make driving difficult in some areas and visibility could be an issue.

Snowfall is expected early Sunday.
Calgary is seeing rain showers starting Saturday afternoon. Daytime highs are expected to be in the low single digits this weekend, but spring-like weather should return early next week.
