Shutter-Down Strike, Shops Closed In Lahore And Other Cities On Jamaat-E-Islami’s Call

 Canada Global(Web News) – A shutter-down strike is being held across the country on the call of Jamaat-e-Islami to express solidarity with the Palestinian people, under which commercial centers in various cities of the country are completely closed.

Badami Bagh Auto Parts Market in Lahore is completely closed while all car dealer markets in the city are also closed. Business will also remain closed in Urdu Bazaar, Mall Road and other markets in the inner city today.

Anarkali and adjacent markets are also closed on the call of Jamaat-e-Islami. Shah Alam Market, Brandrath Road, Hall Road and adjacent markets will also remain closed. Ready-made garments, solar market are also closed while the city’s main green market is also completely closed.

Meanwhile, shops in Qissa Khawani, Khyber Bazaar, Peepal Mandi, Saddar, Hasht Nagri and other important business areas in Peshawar are closed, while according to the traders’ organization, a protest camp will also be set up at Rampura Gate.

Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that the nationwide shutter-down strike is an expression of solidarity with the people of Gaza. The Pakistani nation cannot tolerate the genocide of Palestinians.

All City Traders Alliance Karachi has announced its separation from the strike. On the other hand, the All City Traders Alliance in Karachi has announced its separation from the Jamaat-e-Islami strike. Traders Alliance leader Sharjeel Goplani has said that the Karachi Timber Market will remain fully open today as well.

We have nothing to do with the strike called by Jamaat-e-Islami.

Sheikh Muhammad Irshad, Chairman of Jamaat-e-Ittehad Market Association, has alleged in the letter that he is receiving threatening messages from Jamaat-e-Islami regarding today’s strike and has appealed to the police to provide protection.
