Canada Global (Web News) During an operation in Rahim Yar Khan’s Katcha neighbourhood on Monday, police detained eight dacoits belonging to a group.
For the eighth day in a row, the operation against thieves in the Katcha rea is ongoing.
According to the police, there was a ferocious gunfight between the law enforcement officials and the members of the gang as they engaged in their ongoing siege of the ringleader Kabil Sikhani’s covert hideout.
The operations being conducted by the law enforcement forces have been stepped up in Punjab province’s Katcha region. The police say they have made significant progress in the investigation.
According to sources, the army has stationed 15 snipers and the newest armoured vehicles in the area to gain a tactical advantage over the opposition. The plan calls for the police forces to advance once the snipers have attacked the enemy from a distance.
