According to the report, Provincial Election Commissioner of Sindh Ijaz Ahmed Chauhan has been replaced and appointed as Election Commissioner of Balochistan.

In a notification, the Election Commission said that this decision was taken in the public interest, adding that the Election Commission issued a notification for the appointment of District Returning Officers, Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers, all of whom were recruited from the district administration. Is.

The reshuffle came hours after the MQM (Pakistan) expressed doubts over the fair conduct of the February 8 elections, alleging that Ijaz Ahmed Chauhan and Sindh Election Commission member Nisar Durrani is actually serving the People’s Party by sitting in the office of a constitutional body.

On the other hand, the Election Commission has removed the fears of delay in the elections and said that the election schedule will be announced in the next few days.

Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja gave this assurance to the delegation of People’s Party representing the four provinces. The delegation told the Chief Election Commissioner that the delay in the elections would be unacceptable.

The delegation included Senator Taj Haider, Saeed Ghani, Nasir Hussain Shah, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Musa Gilani, Faisal Karim Kundi, Chingiz Khan Jamali, Rozi Khan Kakar and others.

The delegation presented some suggestions for fair and transparent elections and handed over the list of constituencies of the National and Provincial Assembly to the Election Commission where there was a difference of more than 10% in the size of the population.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Senator Taj Haider said that the Election Commission has been urged to declare that requests to postpone the elections are not acceptable.

He pointed out that the date of elections has been fixed on the order of the Supreme Court, if anyone wants to change it, he should approach the Supreme Court.

Former Senator Saeed Ghani termed the MQM as a dead horse of politics and accused it of telling white lies about the People’s Party in the Election Commission.

He said that the opponents of People’s Party know very well that they have no political future in Sindh, Jamaat-e-Islami is also trying to sabotage the general elections by raising objections one after another.

The PPP leader said that all the officers of Sindh district administration and police department have been transferred and now not a single officer who was serving in the previous PPP government is working there anymore.

Saeed Ghani said that he informed the Chief Election Commissioner about the concerns of the People’s Party regarding the constituencies of East District of Karachi.

Senior leader of People’s Party Faisal Karim Kundi said that the Election Commission has assured him that the election schedule will be announced soon.

Apart from this, Senator Taj Haider said that the PPP delegation has also presented the list of recently appointed and transferred officers, from Chief Secretary to Patwari, all have been changed in Sindh.
