Canada Global (Web News) They have been asked to leave their royal property, there are rumours that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may attempt to recoup the millions of pounds they spent renovating Frogmore Cottage.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are presently residing in the US, have been asked by King Charles to leave their home in the UK. It is said that Prince Andrew will now be the owner of the home.
According to sources, the improvements cost the taxpayers £2.4 million, and Harry and Meghan covered any costs that beyond the budget. Just six months later, the couple moved to the US, where they currently reside in a $11 million estate in Montecito with their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
With an agreement to lease the Cottage for an arbitrary number of years, the Sussexes later paid the Crown Estate back for the cost of the improvements. At the time, the couple stated the refurbishment would mean “their family would always have a place to call home in the United Kingdom”.
Yet, some royal commentators believe that the Duke may be able to recover the money that he and his wife Meghan spent on the royal residence’s renovations.
