In the request given to Nepra, the price of electricity has been increased by 55 paise per unit.
If the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) request is approved, the consumers of DISCOs will have an additional burden of Rs 8.37 billion, requested to Nepra under the September fuel price adjustment.
The Central Power Purchasing Agency has requested an increase of 55 paise per unit in the price of electricity, the request said, as 12.92 billion units of electricity were sold in September.
Nepra will hear the application on November 1.
