Speaking at a news conference on Tuesday, Ford said that firstly he had no hand in the changes to the Green Belt and secondly that the Auditor General and Integrity Commissioner gave him and his office a clean chit on the matter. At a time when information on Green Belt development projects and urban sprawl was obtained through Freedom of Information by a group called Environmental Defence.
The advocacy group claims internal government communications show Ontario political staff directed the changes, which benefited some developers.
