Police investigate shooting in Calgary parking lot

Canada Global (Web News) The Calgary Police Service is looking into a shooting that occurred in the city’s northwest on Tuesday night and sent a man to the hospital.

Just before 7:30 p.m., according to the police, officers were summoned to the 4100-block of University Avenue N.W. According to them, a man was discovered at the scene with a gunshot wound, and the shooting took place in a nearby parking lot.

The victim’s wounds weren’t thought to be life-threatening. Police did not mention whether they have a suspect or suspects in the shooting, but they did indicate that they think it was not a random act.

Police said shortly before 9 p.m. that they were gathering security footage that could aid in their investigation.
