Canada Global (Web News) The textile industry, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is the foundation of the national economy, and his administration would provide all the necessary support to increase exports and the overall economy.
On Friday, he spoke at the 4th international textile and leather exhibition’s opening ceremony at the EXPO centre in Karachi.
The prime minister praised the businessmen who, despite obstacles and setbacks, made significant contributions to advancing Pakistan’s textile and leather industries.
According to Shehbaz Sharif, the textile industry accounts for 60% of all exports from the nation, and this industry would receive unwavering support.
He declared that Pakistan is dedicated to adhering to and carrying out all rules established by global organisations like the International Labour Organisation.
The efforts of Commerce Minister Syed Naveed Qamar and his team in organising the Expo, in which over 400 international participants from sixty countries, including purchasers, are taking part, were also praised by PM Shehbaz.
Marriyum Aurangzeb, the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Syed Naveed Qamar, the federal minister for commerce, Ahsan Iqbal, the Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Kamran Khan Tessori, the governor of Sindh, and Syed Murad Ali Shah, the chief minister of Sindh, were also present.
