The deceased student is said to be 12 years old. The accused and the victim student study in the same school. After the shooting, the assailant escaped, but after some time, the police took him into custody. The incident took place in a suburb of the capital Helsinki.
According to information, the incident took place at Vartola School at 9 am. The school management called the police. The accused student had brought his relative’s licensed handgun.
