Canada Global (Web News) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub on Friday demanded the immediate release of party founder Imran Khan, along with other leaders and workers currently in detention.
Speaking to the media, Ayub reaffirmed the party’s clear stance on dialogue with the government, emphasizing that PTI has outlined its key demands, including the release of its leaders and an impartial judicial inquiry into the incidents of May 9 and November 26.
He highlighted the need for PTI leaders to have access to Imran Khan, who has been held in Adiala Jail for an extended period. Ayub argued that the detention of the party’s founder is based on unfounded allegations, adding that political uncertainty will persist unless the rule of law and constitutional supremacy are upheld.
“Imran Khan is a staunch advocate for the rule of law and the constitution,” he stated.
Additionally, Ayub criticized the government’s claims of progress, pointing to widespread power and gas shortages during the winter season as evidence of mismanagement.
