Canada Global(Web News)An out-of-control fire broke out at an oil lease site in eastern Alberta on Tuesday afternoon, prompting an air quality emergency alert for people in the area due to toxic fumes. The area is located 23 km southeast of Manville in Munburn County near Range Road 82 and Township Road 480.

Minburn County posted on its website that an emergency response is currently underway following a crude oil fire in the SE region of the county.
Firefighters from Wainwright, Irma, Vermilion, Paradise Valley and surrounding communities battled the blaze.
Firefighting teams are actively working to control and extinguish the flames. For safety reasons we ask everyone to avoid the area to allow crews to work efficiently
Alert for everyone in the area between Highway 41 and Highway 870 In effect,
people were ordered to immediately shelter in place, go indoors and close all windows and doors.
No evacuations were required but people were told to be prepared for emergencies only, the alert was canceled about two hours after it was issued.
The update said emergency crews had the fire under control and no toxic fumes were in the air.
