Canada Global (Web News) Raja Pervez Ashraf, the speaker of the National Assembly, requested a thorough report from the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Islamabad, on Monday on the rape of a young girl that occurred at the federal capital’s F-9 park (Fatima Jinnah Park) on February 2, 2023.
The speaker said that a full report on the status of the investigation and the actions being taken to bring the offenders to justice had been requested.
In such delicate circumstances, he emphasised the need for quick and thorough intervention.
It is important to note that the subject was also discussed on Monday during a meeting of the National Assembly, during which the Members of the National Assembly sharply denounced the occurrence and voiced their displeasure with the meagre progress the case has made so far.
