More Than 12 Thousand Pakistani Passports Were Recovered From Afghan Citizens In Saudi Arabia

Canada Global(Web News) After more than 12,000 Pakistani passports were recovered from Afghan citizens in Saudi Arabia, questions have been raised about the performance of national institutions.

In this regard, the authorities of Saudi Arabia revealed that they have successfully obtained more than 12,000 Pakistani passports from Afghan citizens.

According to details, authorities in Riyadh have informed Islamabad about the issue, which has raised questions about the performance of national institutions. Sources have revealed that these fake passports were allegedly obtained by Afghan nationals through various passport centers in Pakistan.

On the other hand, the Interior Ministry has formed a high-level committee to investigate the matter. The mandate of the committee comprising representatives of the Home Ministry, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and sensitive agencies is to identify those involved in the issuance of fake passports. This includes identifying and compiling a list of stakeholders.

Sources further say that legal action will be initiated against these persons according to the laws of the country. This development has come at a time when all illegal foreigners residing in Pakistan have been directed to leave the country by October 31.
