Canada Global (Web News) Mission: Impossible 8 director Christopher McQuarrie is confident that the upcoming installment, starring Tom Cruise, will deliver an adrenaline-pumping experience for audiences.
Having joined the franchise in 2015 with Rogue Nation, McQuarrie recently shared that an early screening of Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning had a profound impact on at least one viewer.
“We held a small screening, and one audience member said, ‘I felt like I was suffocating through the entire sequence. I nearly had a heart attack,’” McQuarrie revealed in an interview with Empire magazine, as reported by GamesRadar. “At that moment, I thought, ‘Looks like we did our job right.’”
He further hinted that the upcoming film, which is rumored to be the franchise’s final chapter, includes “the most challenging sequence” they’ve ever tackled.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is set to hit theaters on May 23.
Following this anticipated release, Tom Cruise is set to continue his action-packed streak with Top Gun 3, as well as collaborations with acclaimed director Alejandro G. Iñárritu.
