Canada Global (Web News) MG Motors Pakistan started taking pre-orders for its 1.5L Turbo Engine MG HS Essence, After obtaining the manufacturing licence.
The news was confirmed by MG Motors General Manager Syed Asif Ahmed, who also informed Geo.tv that the cars will be delivered in January 2023.
The business previously sold its automobiles in Pakistan by importing completely built units (CBUs), but now that SRO-656 has been implemented, it is also permitted to export locally produced cars.
According to Ahmed, this advancement will support Pakistan’s automotive industry’s reliance on exports.
It was discovered that the completely knocked down (CKD) MG HS Essence sells locally for Rs. 6.89 million while the CBU typically costs Rs. 8.9 million.
The expanded warranty for the sports utility vehicle (SUV) lasts for five years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first. It was four years or 100,000 km for CBUs.
The official declared, “We are dedicated to following international safety standards in local manufacture.”
He made the following remarks regarding the audience’s reaction: “The public had been waiting impatiently for MG HS Essence. The most favoured aspects of MG are the comfort of the inside and the colour options.”
The company launched largely in the luxury segment when it entered the Pakistani market under the banner of SAIC Motor International. In May 2021, the first HS CKD version line-off took place.
