The insider explained that Gomez’s reluctance stems from her past relationship with Bieber, which lasted eight years. “She doesn’t allow people who have hurt her back into her life, as a way of respecting herself,” the source shared.
Reflecting on their past, the insider added, “For a long time, Selena believed Justin was her true love, but she now realizes she was mistaken.”
The source also noted that Gomez, now 32, views her fiancé Benny Blanco as her soulmate and feels incredibly fortunate to have found him.
