On the other hand, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry contacted Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaquat Baloch over the telephone. A statement issued by Jamaat-e-Islami in this regard said that the two federal ministers discussed the Palestine Solidarity March in Islamabad today. Liaquat Baloch said that the government has no right to stop the march to express solidarity with the Palestinians. Jamaat-e-Islami’s march to express solidarity with Palestine will remain peaceful and the government should not be humiliated around the world by erecting obstacles. The Jamaat-e-Islami leader said that the government should refrain from stopping the Palestine solidarity rally in Islamabad today and no new area should be created to express solidarity with Palestine.
