Islamabad High Court stopped FIA from arresting Sulaiman Shahbaz

IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq issued the order while hearing a petition filed by Sulaiman Shahbaz seeking protective bail in the case as he intends to end his self-imposed exile and return to Pakistan. .

During the hearing, Amjad Pervez, the lawyer of the Prime Minister’s son, told the court that his client will reach Islamabad from Saudi Arabia on December 11, on which the Chief Justice ordered the accused to appear in court by December 13.

A day earlier, Sulaiman Shehbaz filed a petition seeking anticipatory bail in the High Court, arguing that a false case of money laundering has been registered against him.

Despite the fact that I have been living in the UK since 27 October 2018, I have never received any notice from the FIA, which registered a case against me while I was away. I left the country in 2018, but the case was filed only in 2020 and beyond. The court should grant two weeks of protective bail

Talking to private TV yesterday, Sulaiman accused former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s former aide Shehzad Akbar of framing him in false cases. He said that we will not take any unjustified action against the family of political opponents.
It should be noted that last July, the special court of Lahore declared the prime minister’s son as an accomplice in the money laundering case of 16 billion rupees against members of the Sharif family.
