A 500-member delegation of the Deputy Speaker, Ministers and members headed by the Speaker of the Indian Punjab Assembly Sardar Kaltarsingh Sindwan visited Gurdwara Darbar Saheb Kartarpur and met Head Granthi Gobindsingh.
Head Granthi Gobind Singh said that it is being propagated in the Indian media for the last few days that a ceremony was organized by the Project Management Unit (PMU) Kartarpur inside the Gurdwara Sahib, in which meat, wine and music were arranged. was Granthi Gobind Singh told the Indian delegation that 875 acres of land has been acquired around Gurdwara Sahib where various shopping malls, parks, markets and hotels are to be built. A meeting was held by the PMU to review the work of Kartarpur Corridor Phase II and the preparations for Baba Goronanak’s birthday at the PMU complex, which is two kilometers away from the Gurdwara Sahib.
Gobind Singh also pointed out that food was arranged in the meeting, including meat, but no alcohol or music was provided. Indian media is deliberately spreading negative propaganda. Even today, not only such a large delegation of the Indian Punjab Assembly has come here, but guests from other countries of the world are also arriving here.
Speaker of the Indian Punjab Assembly, Sardar Kaltarsingh Sindhwan, also stated that he had sat in the Gurdwara Sahib and talked to Gobindsingh and had seen the place where the meeting was held. That place is quite far from Gurdwara Sahib and outside the limits of Gurdwara Sahib. It is regrettable that negative propaganda has been done regarding this very holy place. He also thanked PMU Kartarpur and the sevadars here for the arrangements made in Gurdwara Sahib.
