Inauguration Of The World’s Third Largest Mosque In Algeria

Canada Global (Web News) The mosque built in the capital of Algeria is the largest mosque in Africa, which was inaugurated yesterday by the President of Algeria, Abdel Majid Taboun.

It is the third largest mosque in the world after Masjid al-Haram and Masjid Nabawi (peace be upon him) and the 869 feet high minaret of Jamia Masjid is the tallest minaret in the world. The mosque uses wood and marble with Arabic and North African style carvings. The mosque has also built a helipad and a library that can hold more than 1 million books. Jama Masjid Al-Jazir will be opened to the general public on the 1st of Ramadan.
