Canada Global(Web News)Although the popularity of Ontario Premier Doug Ford is moderate, people still prefer his Conservative government to the Liberals.
According to a recent poll by Liaison Strategies, Premier Ford leads Bonnie Crombie by 10 points. David Valentine, principal of Communications Strategy, said the Ford-led PC government was running well ahead of the February poll. This month, the PC Party has 39 percent support compared to the Liberals’ 29 percent support, the NDP is third with 21 percent support, while the Greens have 5 percent and other parties 6 percent.
In areas as diverse as northern Ontario, Crombie’s Liberal government leads the PC Party by more than a percentage point. In South Central Ontario, Hamilton, Niagara, the Ford government leads the NDP by five percentage points. In Toronto, the Liberals and the PC Party are evenly matched, and in Mississauga, the PC Party leads the Liberals by three points.
