In Canada, The Boys Who Spread The Bomb Rumor On The Train Were Arrested

Canada Global(Web News)Three boys who spread rumors of a bomb on a subway train and scared passengers to get off the train have been arrested and will face several charges. The rumor caused the TTC station to be evacuated during rush hour.

At around 5:00pm, detectives received a report of a bomb at St Patrick’s Station. Three boys boarded the train and somehow got into the operator’s cab from where they gained access to the PA system, police said. The boys then told the passengers that there was a bomb in the train and then ran away from the station with the stolen goods.
The incident caused service between St. Patrick and Union stations to be suspended for an hour, with trains diverted to St. Andrew’s and Spadina stations. Police evacuated the subway station and the train was also evacuated as a precaution. The officials then checked the station with the entire train and then proceeded to restore the service.
No one was reported injured in the incident. Three boys, aged 17, were arrested, police said. The boys are charged with mischief over $5,000, theft under $5,000 and endangering public safety. They will be produced in court today.
