According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, the caretaker Finance Minister briefed the IMF mission on the government’s measures for economic recovery, reforms in the FBR and the government’s priorities for solving the problem of revolving loans were discussed.
The head of the IMF mission appreciated the efforts of the government to achieve the targets of the first quarter while also appreciated the performance of the government in some difficult situations.
The statement said that the head of the IMF mission said that it is important to continue the government’s efforts to maintain economic stability in the country.
The Caretaker Finance Minister thanked the IMF for Pakistan’s continuous support and cooperation and said that he will continue to work with the IMF to achieve the economic goals and implement the agreement.
