At the Oct. 25 City Council meeting, Councilor Matt Mahoney said the $100,000 fine for violators is a big deal. He said that with this we will show that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated anymore.
Previously, there was a fine of $5,000 for illegally setting off firecrackers. This change will come into effect from December 1.
