Areas of Wales and Scotland, including Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, were the worst affected. Traffic was affected by the snow on many of the UK’s main roads, flight operations were also affected and flights were delayed due to the snow. Authorities have issued instructions to people not to travel unnecessarily. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the temperature may drop to minus 10 to 15 degrees.
