Canada Global(Web News)Parkland RCMP said emergency crews were responding to an accident between a train and another vehicle Monday afternoon.
RCMP said the collision was within the town of Stony Plain, Alta. They described it as “serious” but provided no other details.
A news release said a train remains on site and travel within the town of Stony Plain will be affected while emergency crews respond.
In an online post, the town said the accident occurred at the 50th Street railroad crossing.
The 50th Street crossing and the crossing of Highway 779 and Range Road 12 were closed during the investigation, the town said.
