Canada Global(Web News)Halton Police are investigating the alleged burning of two portables and hateful graffiti at an elementary school in Silton.
The incident took place at Bruce Trail Public School on Derry Road North and Thompson Road South East. Halton Regional Police Services (HRPS) said Milton Fire Services were called at 12.30pm on Sunday. There are reports of heavy smoke coming from a portable school in the area.
In a news release, HRPS said emergency responders saw flames coming from another portable at the scene. The fire at both the places was brought under control soon. Many books and papers in the portable were set on fire. Investigators said they also found graffiti against the LGBTQ2S+ community and pro-Palestinian graffiti. Police are investigating the matter.
