According to reports, the new update of Speaker Spotlight will allow the user who is speaking on a video call to be himself. It has the ability to automatically highlight. Reports also state that the platform has increased the number of participants on a video call to 32.
Apart from this, Metta, the company that owns WhatsApp, has also introduced the Metta Low Bit Rate (MLow) codec feature on the app, which aims to improve call quality on poor networks or older devices. This feature is already available on Instagram and Messenger is available for calls and is now being brought to WhatsApp to improve the experience across Meta’s platforms. The company will roll out this new update to users over the next few weeks.
