Canada Global(Web News)India’s embassy in Canada has announced the resumption of visa services, which is likely to ease the tension created by the killing of a Sikh leader.
According to the report of the AFP news agency, the Indian High Commission said in a statement that after carefully evaluating the security situation, it was decided to restore the visa service based on the steps taken by Canada in this regard.
India has announced the suspension of its visa service for Canadian citizens amid tensions between the two countries following the killing of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Najjar in Canada.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused India of involvement in the killing of Hardeep Singh Nagar and while giving a statement in Parliament said that Indian intelligence was involved in the killing of the Sikh leader, while India denied this allegation.
Hardeep Singh Nagar, who worked for a separate Sikh state from India, was declared a most wanted terrorist by the Indian authorities.

Canada had urged India to cooperate in the investigation into the killing of the Sikh leader and had also expelled an Indian diplomat over the matter.
New Delhi also reacted strongly and took countermeasures by announcing the suspension of Indian visa services to Canadian citizens, among other services.
Last week, Canada recalled 41 of its diplomats from India due to tensions.
