Canada Global(Web News)Drivers who use Stony Plain Road between 123rd and 129th streets should use alternate routes due to road closures beginning February 3rd as drainage work begins prior to construction of the Valley Line West LRT.
Crews with Marigold Infrastructure Partners will work on the north side of Stony Plain Road at 125 Street, which means that access to Stony Plain Road at 125 Street and access to streets east and west of 125 Street will be closed. .
Drivers are being asked to use 124th Street or 126th Street as detours during this closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained but there will also be detours.
The City of Edmonton said the construction will take place 7 days a week during daylight hours and that it expects noise at the work site.
The shutdown is expected to last for about a month.
