Demonstrations In London, Organized By Tommy Robinson, Thousands Of People Reached Parliament Square

 Canada Global(Web News) Thousands of people participated in the central London protest organized by Tommy Robinson. According to the report, thousands of people gathered in Parliament Square for the protest organized by Tommy Robinson. Speeches by Mr Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley Lennon. Around 300 counter-protesters organized by Stand Up to Racism lined the other side of the cenotaph and were separated from the crowd by a large police cordon. According to the Metropolitan Police, two people were arrested near Parliament Square.

One arrest was for being drunk and disorderly and assaulting an emergency worker, while the other was related to an incident where a woman was racially abused. The protest started at London’s Victoria station around 1pm. Started and finished at Parliament Square. There was a crowd gathered in front of a large TV screen showing speeches and a film. As Mr. Robinson took the stage, there was a huge cheer from the audience. He told the participants that seeing the crowd today, it seems that I am winning.
Mr Robinson criticized the corrupt Metropolitan Police and accused them of two-tiered policing. While the event was underway, Mr Robinson posted on social media calling for the removal of Police Commissioner Mark Rowley. He then welcomed several speakers to the stage, including Lawrence Fox. As the leaders of the Reclaim Party appeared, the crowd cheered and chanted in support of the criticism of both Fakhr Mah and Mayor Sadiq Khan. Pointing to the Houses of Parliament, he said that in a month we will be asked to vote these people again. This is our home, we have nowhere else to go.

It depends on you and me and everyone else. Mr Fox then urged supporters to avoid any crowd trouble, asking them not to allow them (the police) to paint us as something we are not. The audience was then shown a series of video montages, in which supporters chanted jeers and insults at images of a small boat crossing, Rishi Sonik and Sir Keir Starmer. Several hundred meters away in Whitehall, a static counter-demonstration was set up by Stand Up to Racism. Speaker Zach Cochrane shouted Nazi scum on our streets and shouted that refugees are welcome here.
Others carried placards chanting slogans against Tommy Robinson. The Metropolitan Police said on social media that protesters marched along York Road and attempted to cause severe disruption by blocking traffic.

The force added that they were already under conditions not to leave the footpath and members were arrested for violating those conditions. The Metropolitan Police said more than 1,000 police officers were on duty on Saturday, policing the protests as well as the Champions League final at Wembley and related fan celebrations. Fans of finalists Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid appeared confused about what was happening in Parliament Square, with some congregating under the impression it was a fan zone. The Champions League final, between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid, kicks off at Wembley at 8pm.
