Canada Global(Web News)Two Punjabi youths have died in Canada, the first case was reported in Ontario’s York Region, where 29-year-old Ravinder Singh Vark was found dead in his car. Ravinder came to Canada in 2018. In another incident, Surideep Singh of Algoma University died moments after taking the driving test. The cause of death in both cases is under investigation.
Ravinder Singh Virak alias Kaka Virak belonged to village Kandhawala Hazar Khan of Fazalka district and according to his family living in Punjab, he died of cardiac arrest. Ravinder Singh Verek had done B.Tech and his father died shortly before he arrived in Canada.
His family living in Punjab includes two sisters and one brother and an elderly mother, all the responsibilities of which were on the shoulders of Ravinder Singh. Ravinder Singh’s cousin sister Amandeep Kaurwork has created a GoFundami page to send his body to Punjab.
According to the family of Ravinder Singh, a resident of Kandhawala village, he was fond of songwriting and singing and came to Canada and recorded two of his songs titled ‘No Money’ and ‘Why You Hate’. The family said that he went to a restaurant with his friends and after eating, when everyone left, Ravinder Singh also got into the car to go home, but died of a heart attack.
The security guard of the restaurant first saw Ravinder Singh unconscious and informed the police. York Regional Police say no information can be shared pending the autopsy report.
Meanwhile, a GoFundami page set up by Jagandeep Singh of North York has mentioned what happened to Surideep Singh’s family.
Suryadeep Singh, who arrived in Canada only 8 months ago, was feeling a little nervous on the day of the driving test. He passed the test but died moments later in the car. According to Jagandeep Singh, Surideep Singh’s parents took a loan and sent him to Canada and within minutes his life turned upside down. Financial assistance has been sought to send the dead body of Surideep Singh to Punjab.
