Canada Global (Web News) Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawaood died, and the Dawood family thanked everyone who helped with the rescue effort in the Atlantic Ocean in a statement they released early on Friday.
The US Coast Guard said on Thursday that a deep-sea submersible that was lost after a “catastrophic implosion” that killed everyone on board been recovered in bits. The submersible was transporting five people, including a father and son, on a trip to the century-old Titanic ruin.
The Dawood Foundation posts the following on its Twitter account: “It is with great sorrow that we announce the demise of Shahzada and Suleman Dawood. Onboard OceanGate’s Titan submersible when it sank beneath were our dear boys. During this trying time of loss, kindly remember the departed souls and our family in your prayers.
All those who contributed to the rescue efforts have our sincere gratitude. Their never-ending efforts gave us courage throughout this difficult period. We owe a debt of gratitude to everyone who supported us while we were in need, including our friends, family, coworkers, and well-wishers from across the world. The overwhelming love and support we get keeps enabling us to withstand this unfathomable loss.
