Coins with the face of King Charles will soon hit the market

Canada Global(Web News) Soon, Canadian coins with the face of King Charles will be circulated across the country.

On Tuesday, the Winnipeg-based Royal Canadian Mint will introduce a sample of coins that will feature the face of King Charles on one side, and it will appear on all Canadian coins in the near future. For the first time, King Charles’ face will be engraved on the loonie. According to the information provided by the Mint, some of the coins dated 2023, which will have the face of King Charles engraved on them, will be circulated in early December. The work of distributing the coins will begin at the end of December at the Mint’s boutiques in Ottawa and Winnipeg.
Mint said that the designs of these coins were prepared by inviting artists from all over the country. Then the design of the winning coin was sent to Buckingham Palace for approval. This coin will feature the left side of King Charles’s face, as opposed to the right side of Queen Elizabeth’s face. So far, all Canadian coins circulating around the country with the Queen’s face are considered legal tender.
