Canada Global(Web News)Chairman PTI Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi were charged in the cipher case. Special Court of Official Secrets Act Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain charged the accused during the hearing in Adiala Jail.
Chairman PTI and Shah Mehmood Qureshi have denied the health crime.
The court rejected PTI chairman’s request to stay the indictment.
The court has called the statements of the witnesses in the case on October 27. The hearing of the cipher case has been adjourned till October 27.
Earlier, the date of the charge sheet was fixed on October 17, but at that time objection was raised by the lawyers of Tehreek-e-Insaf on not providing the copy of the challan

It should be noted that Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi are currently imprisoned in Adiala Jail in the cipher case.

What is a cipher case?
Chairman PTI Imran Khan had prepared a conspiracy narrative against his government based on the messages of the Pakistani ambassador to the US, in which Imran Khan had claimed that the US was involved in the overthrow of his government through the National Security Committee. The stand of the PTI government regarding the cipher has been denied in the meeting.
Apart from this, an audio leak of the cipher of Imran Khan and his former secretary Azam Khan came to light, in which Imran Khan was heard saying, ‘Now we just have to play, don’t name America, just play it.
After which the federal cabinet handed over the investigation of the matter to the FIA.
Azam Khan was the Principal Secretary to the then Prime Minister Imran Khan during the PTI regime and was considered very close to the Prime Minister.
Regarding the cipher, former DG ISPR Lt. Gen. Babar Iftikhar said that an attempt was made to dramatize the cipher and rumors and false news were spread to gain political advantage.
