Canada Global(Web News) Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland will issue a fiscal update on Tuesday. Much of this update will focus on issues such as housing and affordability.
The Liberal government now wants to once again mend its strained relationship with Canadians. It has to be said that it has become harder for Canadians to make ends meet and Canadians are angry with the Liberals over the rising cost of living.
Even the government doesn’t have much money to spend but Freeland will somehow try to meet people’s expectations. “We have to make sure we can provide the investment and support that Canada needs,” Freeland said, speaking to reporters in Toronto. But we can do all this responsibly within a fiscal framework.
He did not say what the draft fiscal update would be, but he did say that issues like housing and affordability would be taken into account. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been publicly focusing on those two key issues since September’s Liberal caucus retreat in London, Ontario, to salvage his image in the face of a Conservative surge.
