Canada Global(Web News)Canadian Olympic snowboarder Mark McMorris was injured in a training accident. 30-year-old McMorris shared a video on his Instagram account while he was snowboarding in the backcountry near Revelstoke.
He failed to jump and fell and got injured. The video then shows him in the hospital.
McMorris suffered serious facial injuries and is being treated at Vancouver General Hospital. According to doctors, they may need surgery.
McMorris who was born in Regina, Saskatchewan has become a household name in Canada thanks to an impressive resume. He holds the record for most career medals at the Winter X Games with 23, 11 of which are gold. He has also won three Olympic bronze medals in 2014, 2018 and 2022.
