Canada Global(Web News)he British government has decided to grant political asylum to Afghan citizens living illegally in Pakistan, for which a certain number of Afghan citizens will be transferred to London through special flights.
An important development in this regard came when the British High Commissioner met the top leadership of civil aviation and discussed the operation of special flights to bring Afghan nationals to the UK.
The Civil Aviation delegation was led by Director Security Air Commodore (Rtd) Shahid Qadir while the British High Commissioner’s delegation was led by the Political Consul.
In the meeting, discussions were held regarding the resettlement of Afghan refugees in the United Kingdom and the operation of special flights for their transfer. It has been decided in the meeting that 12 flights will be operated from next week to the end of December for the transfer of Afghan refugees to Britain and through them a certain number of refugees will be taken from Pakistan.

Spokesman Civil Aviation also confirmed that discussions have taken place between the British delegation and the top leadership of the CAA regarding the operation of special flights for the evacuation of Afghan refugees.
Apart from this, the Pakistani delegation also conveyed a special message of Director General Civil Aviation Khaqan Murtaza to the British High Commission. Representatives of ANF, PIA and Customs attended the meeting.
The British delegation also thanked Pakistani institutions for their cooperation and agreeing to operate special flights.
According to the current schedule of civil aviation, the evacuation of Afghan refugees for resettlement in the UK will be carried out through 12 special charter flights, through which 2,000 Afghans will be sent to the UK.
The chartered flights will continue until December with one flight per week to the UK. On Thursday, October 26, the first flight carrying 200 Afghan refugees will leave Islamabad for the UK.
