On November 5 and 6, a short video titled Rashmika Mandana went viral on Indian social media, with people criticizing the actress for her bold style.
In a short video that has gone viral, a woman can be seen exiting an elevator wearing a very tight and short dress.
The face of the woman seen in the video looks similar to actress Rashmika Mandana and people criticized the actress after watching the video.
However, journalists and fact-checkers soon told social media users that the said video was not Rashmika’s but someone else’s, which had been edited to make the video appear genuine.
Journalist Abhishek, while sharing the viral video, said that the said video is not of Rashmika Mandana, but of an Indian-origin woman named Zara Patel, which was edited as a deepfake.
He also demanded action against the makers of deepfake videos and his tweet was also retweeted by Bollywood’s Big B Amitabh Bachchan demanding action against the makers of fake videos.
Later, Rashmika Mandana also clarified in her Instagram story that the viral video is not hers but it was edited and shared as her video.
According to him, the face of the woman seen in the video was replaced with his face.
Rashmika Mandana said that if the same video was made when she was a school and college student, it would have been impossible for her to bear the pressure of such fake videos, but now she can bear the pressure of such fake videos. He demanded that action should be taken against the makers of such fake videos so that such people cannot disturb any girl or woman by making fake videos.
