Canada Global(Web News)Greater Sudbury Police on Tuesday found the body of Ward 2 Councilor Michael Vagnini, who had been missing for several days.
Vignini, 62, left home in her Dodge Ram 1500 truck on January 27 and has not been seen since. His family said he did not take his mobile phone or medicine with him. After a long search by police and volunteers, his truck was found at 2.30pm on Tuesday in the Reserve Camp Road area of the Atikiamaxing Innesna Back First Nation.
Vagnini was found dead in her vehicle a short distance away, Sudbury police said in a news release . Detectives are still in the early stages of the investigation and have found no indication of foul play. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
