

The youth has been identified as Malake Chawari. The boy’s body was found March 1 at a waste management facility in South Etobicoke. Investigators said the body was brought there by a garbage truck. A GoFundMe page has been set up by the family to pay for Malachi’s funeral.
Malake’s mother, Brandi Jessica, said in a Facebook post that he had been missing since February 26. Waterloo Regional Police have posted on social media that Malachi has been missing since March 4 and on March 7, police also wrote that they are no longer looking for the young man, with Waterloo Regional Police taking over the investigation of the case.
