Bilawal Bhutto Invited Tehreek-E-Insaf To Join The Charter Of Democracy

Canada Global(Web News) PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has invited Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf to join the Democracy Charter after inaugurating a free diagnostic lab under JDC Foundation. In view of the announcement of the date of the election, a soft attitude was adopted against the rival party PTI.

He did not rule out the possibility of an electoral alliance with the PTI, but he did not support PTI’s recent efforts to discredit state institutions ahead of the upcoming elections.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, in response to a question regarding the possibility of an electoral alliance between PPP and PTI in Punjab, said that we have not taken any decision in this regard yet.

He said that as far as the Democratic Charter is concerned, I think that all the political parties of the country should come to the Democratic Charter and it would be great if PTI also accepts the Democratic Charter and joins it.
It may be recalled that during the dictatorship of Pervez Musharraf, the then exiled leadership of the People’s Party and the Muslim League (N) came close to each other for the first time in their political history and in May 2006 both signed an agreement. Under the Charter of Democracy, the concept of establishing a new political system based on harmony and reconciliation was presented to ensure the continuity of the democratic system in Pakistan.
2 This document, signed by former Prime Ministers Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif, became the source of their joint campaign against military rule in the country.
