The Islamabad High Court has granted interim bail to former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for two weeks in the Al-Qadir Trust case, while ordering him not to arrest him in any new case till May 17. .
After an hour’s delay, a bench comprising Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb and Justice Thaman Rifat Imtiaz started the hearing in Room No. 2 of the High Court, which was later adjourned for Friday.
At the same time, a lawyer present in the court room raised slogans in favor of Imran Khan, on which Justice Mian Gul Hassan expressed his anger and said that how can such a hearing be conducted, the respect of the court is very important.
PTI’s lawyer said that the lawyer who raised slogans is not related to us, but the hearing bench got up and left and the Friday prayer was adjourned.

Imran Khan is present in the court along with the legal team, Khawaja Haris started giving arguments on bail applications.
Khawaja Haris took the stand that Imran Khan was arrested while filing the petition on May 9, he further said that the inquiry report was shown to Imran Khan after his arrest.
Imran Khan’s lawyer said that it was found out from the media that the inquiry was turned into an investigation.
The court inquired whether you were given a question paper in this case? On which Khawaja Haris said that only a notice was issued and not a question paper, Imran Khan was sent a call-up notice on March 2 during the inquiry.
Khawaja Haris argued that NAB is bound to provide the inquiry report, he said that we were afraid that Imran Khan would be converted into an inquiry investigation and arrested immediately.
Justice Hasan Aurangzeb asked whether Imran Khan appeared before NAB on this notice. On which Khawaja Haris said no, Imran Khan did not appear but submitted the answer.
Imran Khan’s lawyer further told the court that NAB has now become a biased institution.
Later, the Islamabad High Court granted interim bail to Imran Khan for 2 weeks and directed the NAB Prosecutor General and Imran Khan’s lawyer to prepare for the next hearing, adding that on the next hearing it was decided that Imran Khan’s bail will be extended or dismissed.
