
Canada Global (Web News) Another migrant boat sank in Libya, 11 bodies were recovered in the accident, four of which have been identified as Pakistanis.
The report sent by the Pakistani Embassy in Libya to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that the boat accident occurred on April 12 off the Harwa coast near the eastern Libyan city of Sirte. Eleven bodies have been recovered from the accident site so far, of which four are Pakistanis. A team from the Pakistani Embassy visited Sirte to gather information about the incident and identified four bodies as Pakistanis from national documents. Three of them are from Mandi Bahauddin and one is from Gujranwala. According to the report, Zahid Mahmood son of Liaquat Ali is from Gujranwala, while Sameer Ali son of Raja Abdul Qadeer, Syed Ali Hussain son of Shafqat Hussain and Asif Ali son of Nazar Muhammad are from Mandi Bahauddin. In addition, two bodies have not yet been identified, five bodies are of Egyptian nationals. The Pakistani Embassy is in touch with local authorities for more information about the accident.
